Cultivating Connections at Side Events: The L2DAYS Experience
L2BEAT and Scroll celebrated L2DAYS, a two-day side event during Devconnect 2023 in Istanbul. Guests took memories home, engaged with sponsors at their booths, and joined an exciting treasure hunt for cool prizes.
Crafting the concept
Devconnect is a weeklong gathering of independent Ethereum events, averaging 15 side events per day.
Creating engaging activities for individuals in this context can be challenging. That's why L2DAYS organizers teamed with POAP.
Together, we created a fun, interactive experience at the event, involving sponsors and attendees.
Enhancing event booths with digital collectibles
Each sponsor issued a unique branded POAP using an NFC disc, making collecting at each booth special. POAPs transformed the event floor into a vibrant space and encouraged people to explore.
Attendees actively sought sponsors to collect POAPs, sparking meaningful conversations and networking opportunities.
Amplifying excitement and interactivity with a POAP scavenger hunt
In addition to distributing POAPs at booths, event organizers aimed to increase attendee engagement by introducing a thrilling scavenger hunt throughout the venue. Collaboratively, we crafted a series of clues embedded within each POAP, leading participants on a journey to discover the next one.
The conclusion of the scavenger hunt was at the Scroll booth, where attendees redeemed their prizes.
A branded experience
We crafted a customized flow that ensured collectors would encounter L2DAYS branding throughout the event. We integrated the client into every aspect of the collector's journey, including the NFC discs attendees tapped and the actual POAP.
Our goal was to immerse participants in an experience tailored to the L2DAYS identity. By weaving client branding throughout the entire process, we ensured collectors felt a deeper connection to the brand.
Results
The collaboration resulted in a dynamic and memorable event experience, encouraging engagement among attendees, sponsors, and event organizers.
- 3,672 POAPs were collected
- 3,000 people minted sponsors’ POAPs
